Kizhi Necklace Tour (5 days)
Karelia is a region in the Russian Northwest. Its capital, the city of Petrozavodsk, is located 400 km away from St.Petersburg and 300 km away from the Russian-Finnish border (Vartsilja-Niirala cross border station). Among numerous cultural sights of the area, Kizhi is the most famous. The unique ensemble of wooden churches, chapels and traditional houses is situated there. The region has vast areas covered with forests, tens thousand rivers and lakes, including the biggest European lakes Ladoga and Onego, two National Parks and several Nature Reserves.

Arrival in St.Petersburg. Meeting by English speaking guide. Transfer to hotel by comfortable car/minibus. After lunch City sightseeing tour with visiting most interesting highlights and entrance to Hermitage Museum. Free time.

Breakfast and transfer to Railway Station. Travel to Petrozavodsk in compartment (400 km). Arrival in Petrozavodsk, City sightseeing tour. Lunch (café or lunch box). Departure for Kizhi by hydrofoil (1h15min ride). Sightseeing tour to the Kizhi Museum - Churches of the Transfiguration, Intercession, chapels and old wooden houses. Transfer by motor boat to a guest house, accommodation. Dinner and Russian sauna.
