Moscow – breakfast. Today is the day to explore the Central of Moscow - legendary Red Square with its fairy St.Basil’s Cathedral, Lenin’s mausoleum – the tribune for stone faced Soviet leaders in the past, The grate example of Russian Classicism – department store GUM. We take a metro to get to the city centre. Each station has its own memorable image collectively forming a unique architectural ensemble.
The golden domed Kremlin – Political head office of Russian President and museum of Russian treasure and regalia is point of our walking guided tour this afternoon.
Rest of day is free. Overnight - Moscow

Moscow – Mandrogi village – breakfast. The whole day is free to enjoy the madness of Moscow – a city crammed with museums, galleries and shops. So much to see… may be haggle the souvenir-stalls along Arbat Street, visit the Tretyakov Gallery, or take a lessons of skating on Patriarchy pounds; Evening transfer to the train station, and overnight train (in 4-berth sleeper compartments) northwards to Mandrogi village!

24 Dec - Christmas eve
Mandrogi village – breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Verhnie Mandrogi village was reconstructed on its historical site in accordance to a project of revival Russian villages with it’s rich traditions and great spirits, life improve of the villagers involving them into tourist business and developing folk crafts. But first of all Mandrogi is a real Russia and real Russian. The day will start with an early arrival to the train station. An old fashion 4X4 wheel bus is to take us to the village. There are 23 kilometers to go, but it take another half an hour before we enjoy beautifully served breakfast with bliny (Russian pancake) and steamy kasha. Couple of hours of rest or wonder around and learn local way of life. We’ll then steam up at a real Russian banya (steam bath). Hot on the heels. Picnic lunch of shashlyk and Vodka
Later, time to relax before our Big Night Out - Christmas Eve dinner and party. Who knows what a surprise Russian Farther Frost has prepared for us…..

Today is totally on your choice.
There are lots of things to do and to see to know this part of the world.
For the reasonable extra fee you can rent a horse to take a ride in a village surroundings. Don’t feel sure about your riding skills there are snowmobiles or take a ride on Russian Troyka (three horses harnessed abreast). There are no mountains in the area but cross country skiing is another way to discover the Nature and test yourself. Russian Vodka Museum in Mandrogi village is the first of it’s kind in Russia. The exhibits in this museum includes more than 2000 kinds or Russian vodka. Visitors may taste and buy all drinks exhibited. The workers of the museum advocate moderation in the consumption of spirits. You may visit the local workshops for folk art craftspeople, in which guests can get acquainted with real Russian folk art, try to create it yourself and buy the work of the masters. There are many different types of folk crafts: painting, lace making, pottery, weaving etc. There is a small exhibition about the history of the “matreshka” (traditional Russian dolls) and an art gallery or take a coocking lesson. Back to home you will be an expert of traditional Russian cousin.

It is an early dinner tonight. Tommorow is an morning train will take us to Saint Petersburg!

St Petersburg Founded by Peter the Great in 1703, St Petersburg is the bees knees. It’s one of the prettiest cities in all Russia and has survived 3 name changes and was a witness of 3 revolutions! Afternoon coach tour gives us an overview of the city with a visit of the Fortress of Peter and Paul. The Fortress was founded in 1703, on the orders of Peter the Great. A magnificent cathedral here houses the remains of the Romanov dynasty.
Overnight – St Petersburg

St Petersburg - breakfast. One of the most famous museums in the world, the Hermitage has a vast collection occupying a grand ensemble of buildings at the Winter Palace. We’ll enjoy a guided visit here. The rest of the day is free to do St Pete’s your way. Overnight – St Petersburg
28 Dec
St Petersburg – breakfast. Hotel checkout. Last minute Russia souvenir shopping and sightseeing, if your flight schedule permits. Later - departure transfer to St Petersburg Pulkovo airport for your onward flight home.
