Free Open Air Public Concerts «CAPPELLA COURTYARDS»
From May till September
5th Summer Season
Concerts take place in Cappella Main Court.
Musical summer evenings in the Cappella Main Court became a new St Petersburg’s tradition. Symphonic, choral music, chamber, instrumental, jazz and wind concerts are held twice a week. In July “Cappella Courtyards” presents the Summer Early Music Festival.
This project organized by the State Academic Chapel by support of Committee of Culture, is conceived as a gift to all petersburgers and visitors of northern capital by anniversary of city and the 300 anniversary of the Chapel. For the first time it has been carried out by summer of 2002. Free-of-charge concerts were spent from May, 18th till September, 12th in the main Court yard of the Chapel. The improvised stage has been located at Imperial pavilion.
All other space of the Court yard was borrowed with places for listeners so, having made fascinating walk across Pushkin Petersburg, it is possible to have a rest and listen to good music pleasantly.
The beginning of performances at 17.00 (to take a better place you should come a bit earlier)
