5th International Sand Sculpture Festival
From 30 July till 1 Septembert
Festival takes place on the Beach of Peter and Paul Fortress.
The theme of this year festival is The Tree of Life. Professional teams from Austria, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Ireland, Netherlands, Russia, Finland, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Latvia, Estonia and other countries will participate. They will have more than 100 tons of preliminary prepared sand and one week to fulfill the competition task. Sculptures will stay on the beach until September. Special stage between sculptures with the Hermitage and Neva as background will host evening performances of classic, jazz and rock musicians.
